The Panther basketball team dropped a hard fought battle to Salem, Orange, in the championship game of the St. John's Invitational, 58-44. Congratulations to Coach Hight and the Panthers on a good tournament.

- Deryl Maxwell
- Mr. Maxwell was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a minor in Physical Education in 1985. In 1996, Mr. Maxwell earned his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, Irvine. Mr. Maxwell has served as a teacher, coach, Athletic Director, and Principal in his 20+ years in Lutheran Education. In October, 2003, Mr. Maxwell accepted the Call to serve as an Eighth Grade Homeroom and Athletic Director at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Orange County.
